Blashford Tower, situated within the Chalcots Estate in Camden, stands as one of five distinctive towers within this residential development. This iconic building, positioned at the crossroads of Adelaide Road and Fellows Road, comprises 19 stories and houses 130 apartments. Our team provided comprehensive facade engineering expertise to support our client, Graham Construction, throughout the entire design and construction phases of this major refurbishment endeavour. The primary objective of this ambitious refurbishment project was the integration of new glazing and rainscreen cladding, achieved using both unitised facade and rainscreen facade types.
The works entailed the incorporation of new high-performance windows and doors, fire-resistant glazing, and anodized aluminium cladding panels. These enhancements were primarily driven by the imperative to meet the fire safety requirements mandated by current Building Regulations, while also enhancing the overall aesthetics and performance of this significant building within the borough of Camden
